Jacquie Sinclair

Jacquie Sinclair is a Canadian artist who works in a wide range of mediums with an emphasis on line. Jacquie is a cartoonist, sculptor, storyteller, pyrographer, and painter. Her soapstone carvings have been part of gallery shows in B.C and her cartoons have supported various community-focused campaigns. In addition to her visual artistry Jacquie is an accomplished writer whose short fiction has appeared in numerous Canadian publications, including Tessera, The Capilano Review, and Descant. Her chapbook of poetry, Hospital Poems, offers an intimate exploration of human vulnerability, and the complexities of healing.

Jacquie is currently working on a graphic novel inspired by her 24-year and 11 month experience as a University International Student Recruiter, a role that took her across the globe and informed her artistic voice. Originally from the heart of Canada, Jacquie now resides with her wife on the edge of a forest in North Vancouver, BC.
